Mike Bunting
L-S Choral Director

Michael Bunting began as L-S Choral Director in the fall of 2010. He also teaches music electives, advises student vocal groups, and served as the music director for the musicals.

Previously, he taught in the Springfield, Reading, and Gardner, MA public school systems. An active choral singer, he has sung with the Choral Art Society of Portland, ME, and with Masterworks Chorale in the Boston area, and served as bass section leader for the First Parish choir in Framingham, MA. He has visited, observed, or performed at high schools in Maine, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New York, and North Carolina.
Mr. Bunting holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education from the Berklee College of Music in Boston, and a Master’s of Music in Choral Conducting from the University of Southern Maine with Dr. Robert Russell.
In his spare time, Mr. Bunting plays ultimate frisbee, plays with his cat, and is an avid reader and Red Sox fan.
