Board Members Boards members should attend the 5 meetings planned in the school year
LSFOM Chair 1 Meeting Facilitator: The LSFOM Chair is the person who creates the agenda for and runs the board meetings. They must gather the information for the agenda based on upcoming events and needs for the organization, communicating with committee chairs, the community and the music Director.

Coordinators: Coordinate actions with all committees.

LSPO: Represent LSFOM at LSPO meetings.

Treasurer 1 The Treasurer’s duties include the following:

Financial management and/or oversight. The Treasurer oversees the management of the financial affairs of the organization, including reconciling the bank statements and managing cash flow. The Treasurer is knowledgeable about any outstanding bills or debts owed. The Treasurer maintains the system for ensuring the organization’s ongoing solvency and oversees the development of the organization’s financial policies, including check signing authority, expense reimbursement, and debit card usage.

Budgets. The Treasurer is responsible for preparing the annual budget, as well as regularly monitoring and comparing the actual revenues and expenses incurred against such budget. The development of a budget that supports the organization’s goals and drives decision-making is an important part of an organization’s success in effectuating its mission. The budget will be reviewed and approved by the board, however, the Treasurer should be prepared to explain and justify the document.

Reports. The Treasurer should keep the board apprised of key financial events, trends, and concerns, and her assessments of the organization’s fiscal health. The Treasurer is also generally responsible for completing, or ensuring the completion of, required financial reporting forms (including the IRS Form 990) in a timely manner and making these forms available for the board’s review.

Concert Recording 2 Record all Concerts and produce records. No equipment needed- training will be provided 3 to 4 hours per concert OPEN
CD Producing & distributing 1 Duplicate CDs and distribute CDS One hour after each concert OPEN
Communication 1 Maintain the website, send emails to members, maintain a list of email address 1 hour per month LAURENCE BAIZE
Publicity 1 Publicize through LSPO, newspaper, and signage for all the music events such as the concerts, fundraisers. 1 hour per month AMY ROSE
Concessions Chair 1 Coordinate the concessions sale at each concert. Coordinate sales and baking volunteers, purchase and store drinks and candy in LSFOM storage closets at LS, set up and clean up. Plug in drink cooler ahead of time. 3 hours per concert THERESA KNEELAND
Junior District Music Festival Concessions 1 Coordinate volunteers, solicit and collect donations, purchase supplies, set up, sell, and clean up. 30 hours, usually first week in March MARIANNE TABOLA

Back to school Night 2 In coordination with Fundraising and Concessions: set up a table at back to school night, coordinate student help, sell water and raffle tickets. Collect potential parent volunteer email addresses. 3 hours OPEN
